【明报专讯】■Game 1

The Smarties' brains are firing on all cylinders as they tackle the following CalcuDoku. CalcuDoku is a logic-based number puzzle that combines the elements of Sudoku and basic arithmetic operations. Let's see if you can solve it ahead of the Smarties! (See the picture 1)

Rules:

1. Fill the grid so that each row and column contains every number from 1 to 4 once.

2. An area enclosed with dotted lines is called a cage. Inside each cage, there is a clue number and a mathematical symbol (+, -, × or ÷). The number is the answer to the specified mathematical operation using all the numbers in the same cage.

3. A number can appear more than once in a cage.
